It was my secondary school and I loved it - hence the sad face :( and I'm sure several other people who went there would agree with me that it was a sad day when it was demolished!!!
It's not how it looks....honest

At the back of Essenside Church they are laying high voltage underground electric cables. These run from the switching station at Windhill. They have been at this for what seems like a year. Is this what you mean?

Does anyone know what was going on at Mortons Rolls yesterday? The place was swarming with police from early in the day.

Lots of activity around Beil Drive / Hawick Street yesterday morning, seen a couple of police vans around 10am and the chopper done a couple of sweeps of the area before heading towards Clydebank just before 11

Hello, I've been looking at hollowhorn's photo below but can't work out what's what!

the Orange Box marked WB is the site of the Whisky Bottling Plant & Bond
the Yellow box marked SC is the site of the Shopping Centre

Note the Duntreath Avenue road and flyover linking Drumchapel and Peterson Park hasnt been constructed, nor have the houses in the Peterson Park scheme. I'd date the photograph to around the early to mid 1950s

Yes it is Stonedyke Primary

The photo is definitely pre 1960, as there isn't any overhead electric wires / masts along the railway.
