Saw Michael Redmond (Irish comedian who played Father Stone in Father Ted) walking up Byres Road a few weeks ago.

When you say 'walking', is that what you mean or was he on all fours?
I hear the people sing.

I am positive I saw Billy Connolly and some, what looked like, pals walking up from Parnie Street at the side of the Tron Theatre yesterday, heading up to the Merchant City about 5pm-ish.

That would be correct. He was in Glasgow last night to accept his Lifetime Achievement Award from the members of BAFTA Scotland.

Years ago, I was waiting at the traffic lights outside Mr Chips on Sauchiehall Street next to a couple of long-haired guys in leather jackets. Looked round and realised that one of them was famous-ish drummer Cozy Powell, the other was a bass player who's name I can't remember but I think he was in Whitesnake at some point.

Last famous person I seen was Bill Paterson, in Ruthven Lane. He's wee-er than he looks on the telly.

I was down Byres Road and Church Street earlier this evening and saw Georgie Glen who plays Audrey
in Waterloo Road (BBC). I think there were some other cast members with her including Melanie Hill
(Sean Bean's ex wife).

Robert Plant the Led Zeppelin singer outside the BBC at Pacific Key. He was apparently doing some backing vocals for some woman called Patty somethingoranother.

Griffin.

In a similar vein.

Billy McNeill outside Pizza Hut on Argyle St.

To my shame I thought 'he's looking old' but Google says he's 73.

I have no memory of seeing anyone famous of late but I remember one afternoon in 1976 when waiting to get into Greens playhouse/the Apollo to see a film with my little brother Glen Michael of Cartoon Cavalcade walked past us heading away from the STV studios. 10 or 15 minutes later Billy Conolly went past heading towards the studios. Around 1990 I saw Dave Anderson going to an AMT and drawing money at the bank in Great Western Road across from the then BBC studios. Maybe they where still filming City Lights then
