Little known facts.

His sister is Linda Thompson of Richard & Linda THompson folk-rock fame and he was the last person to act on screen with Peter Sellers in the Barclays commercial a month before he died

I was out for a meal in Glasgow. Went for a pee, Paul McStay came in and had a pee two urinals away. I also stood beside Davie Dodds of Rangers in a pub in Shawlands. I think he was a coach at the time. Andy Cameron crossed right in front of my car at a pedestrian crossing again in Shawlands.

You stood next to Davie Dodds of Dundee Utd and didnt turn to stone? He bought a puppy from my Uncle Ian and he had to lock his kids in their bedrooms he was so ugly.If you are reading this Davie no offence mate because you are a United legend but keep your punditry on radio.Image

Di Maggios Royal Exhange Square,1994.

Monday.

After a few post work refreshments me and two mates decided that we were quite sophisticated and went for a meal in Di Maggios before we got down to some serious drinking and an inappropriate end to the evening.
The place was very quiet but sitting in a booth at the back were Frank MaAvennie and his "burd" at the time Jenny Blyth,Page 3 stunna plus a rather large minder type.My mate wanders up to the table as a big Celtic fan and says "Frank, massive fan any danger of a photograph with you?" Frank looked sheepishly at the minder who responded on his behalf by saying "Hes having a quiet meal with his lady now fuck off".
We continued our meal in peace until i had to run to the toilet and whilst standing at the urinal observed two pairs of feet in the cubicle and a loud sniffing noise.

I hastily took my seat and finished my meal.Five minutes later Frank and his Minder bounded up to our table and at the top of his voice announced "Alright lads now who wis wantin' their photie takin' wi a fuckin' LEGEND!"

Just had to dive in here to rogues gallery.

Andy Cameron on Bath street chatting to a group of lassies in a fake kelvinside accent. Got him to sign ma dole card. Cringe!
Charlie Nicolas at a wedding Maryhill. He wore a kilt.
Frank MacAvennie and his siter Marie in a bar in Springburn.
Colin and Justin cruising through Arden .
Sam Torrance looking for his glof balls in the rough at Troon
Ewan MacGregor buying messages in Dundee. He had a bottle of Irn Bru in his bag. Always thought that was funny somehow.
Dougray Scott having a slash in One Up. Hung like the proverbial Shetland Pony
Craig Fergusun holding a carrier bag on Byres Road and looking lost.
Gordon Ramsay midgie raking in Johnston
Tilda Swinton asked me if I was interested in coming back to her caravan in Auchterarder for a coffee. I thought she was a guy so refused. Doh!
Tommy Sheridan in a Snooker club just aff Paisley road West, He hit a break of nine and was ecstatic.
Robert Carlyle pissing under the railway bridge on Nitshill Road.

Not specifically on the streets of Glasgow, but throughout my career in retail I've sold;

Blythe Duff - various clothes in TK Maxx.
Justin & Colin - a lot of cheap tat in TK Maxx that no doubt ended up in somebody's living room as "designer" gear.
Aiden McGeady in Spar reading the Evening Times then leaving without buying it
Jim Delahunt in Spar just before Christmas
a Rangers player in the same Spar about 10 minutes after Jim Delahunt left, no idea who though!
