Sharon, you don't know who Glasgow's premier z-list 'celebrity' is. Then you have made some good viewing choices, ie: not watching STV

Apparently, he once was leaving a clothes shop and said to the bemused assistant 'Thanks for not making a fuss over me' True or not, funny though and the type of thing you can see him saying.

For extra added pedantry that McBain quote was first used on here by amcd approx 12 months ago where he managed to execute the line perfectly. ::):

Last one I saw was Andy Goram on a bus heading down Stockwell Street (that's me on the bus, not Andy). Once had a 30 second mutual moan with Billy Connolly because some twat nearly ran my son and I over as he wasn't looking where he was going through staring and pointing at BC.

Quite literally bumped into Shareen Nanjiani on Sauchiehall Street one lunchtime as neither of us were watchnig where we were walking.

The classic (maybe you had to be there!) however was myself and a female pal of mine (purely platonic, lads!) walking back to the office along Sauchiehall Street on another lunchtime and we pass by Chick Young talking to a group of people outside the pub that is now the Wetherspoons. "There's that f..king Chick Young", I express, perhaps a little too loud as it grabbed Chick's attention. Chick's beaming smile became a beaming face as my pal said "Who the f@ck's Chick Young".

Shareen Nanjiani is never out of M&S on Sauchiehall st ..but is she famous?
Ive met Gregor Fisher , bad tempered wee git he is too when i worked in retail/computer sales...dont think hes particularly famous tho outside of Scotland.
I was gonna say Donald Findley QC .. but he's not famous either for anything but his gaffes.

The Queen drove past me once in Edinburgh...but that doesnt count...right?

I used to deliver Donald Findleys morning papers when I was a teenager

The queen drove past me a few years back... a motorcycle cop drove out infront of me and stopped all the traffic and then her limo went round the corner at full pelt with her and goofy.

Everyone has seen Shareen by the way... I saw her walk past the STV studios on the way to Marks & Sparks

I spoke to Paul Young (the old actor bloke from the 'Hooked on Fishing' prog) in B&Q a while back, he asked me where the bin bags were :?

A workmate once saw Ford Kiernan walking his dog though a Knightswood park. He gave him the finger 8O

Oops, I actually meant Greg Hemphill (I always get them two mixed up  ).
He gave the finger to my workmate. But to be fair there was a bit of provocation.
