Endgames had a minor hit with Waiting For Another Chance, I had their
album Building Beauty.
We're in the stickiest situation since Sticky the Stick Insect got stuck on a sticky bun.

I remember a song, "Shouting out for love", I thought it was by a Glasgow band called Mind Games, but seeing this post ramor69 I'm thinking maybe I got them mixed up with Endgames? The song was out circa 83, I do know the lead singer was a guy called Davie Rudden. Any info?

Aye End Games got themselves mixed up with aping Simple Minds.

There's a previous discussion elsewhere on Glasgow bands and Davie Rudden I am sure is mentioned.

Is that Govanhill Davie Rudden? He used to own/run a recording studio. If so I kinda know him.

Does anyone remember the Glasgow Girl duo called "Strawberry Switchblade"?

Whose demise of course inspired Glasgow several-hit-wonder Don McLean to pen the greatest of his several hits.

Hi Peekay, not sure if it was Govanhill, but its more than likely the same guy. I knew him from playing snooker in Reardons, when it was open in the Trongate, roundabout the mid Eighties. He was friends with a pal of mine, Mick Maguire.

Endgames were pretty big in the states IIRC.
"We Feel Good"
I bought that. Actually played it the other week. Haven't heard anyone else mention them for years.

My fav. obscurist Glasgow band of that period has to be James King and the Lonewolves, reputedly the hardest band in Glasgow. Their "I don't care if you live or die" was a minor hit.
They broke up for a while in the early 80's cos the bassist was in the BarL.

The Scars - one hit wonders! Right you, school gates, four o' clock.

One of the best live bands I ever heard (although no showmen). The version of Peter Porter's 'Your attention please' that they used to play as an encore sent shivers up my spine every time.

Their sole album was mildly disappointing, but almost all of the singles were great. If they did have a single hit, though, I would have thought it was the wonderful Clockwork Orange-derived Horrorshow.
