I'm interested in your reference to SAGA since I've been working with them on a heritage and local history slot - and I found Glesga Pals unresponsive when I approached them about possible input

Hi escotregen, who did you get in touch with about your project?

There have been folk in the past asking if we can help with this and that and we help were we can.
One of the pals was on Saga today to talk of his book,"Old Parkhead"

Did you contact the webmaster?

Bye for now, Norrie

Norrie,
Yes it was the Webmaster (or 'Webmaister' as he is called on the site) I emailed. The lack of response surprised me as it was a follow-through on one of the threads on the site. I have had odd experiences with the 'Contact Us' facility on websites. So I then posted a request direct on the site. This resulted a few days later in a reply posting from someone (a moderator perhaps?) apologising for delays and advising that the Webmaister was a busy guy. I check some days later to find all references on the site deleted.
I should also explain that what I'm trying to do with SAGA is something more substantive and contemporary than the usual sort of one-off 'oh-wasn't-it-rer-in-the-old-days' style that the media usually want.

Hi Escortegan, I do remember seeing a post from your self but I didnt feel as If I would be able to help you and possibly others felt the same.
A post gets shunted to the end of the page and evenually out of the site as folk stop adding to it, I am sure that is what happened.

The web master is a busy guy and has many interests that is why he has installed two moderators to help him run the site.

Springburnlass and Nell are their names, why dont you contact them or post again.

We do help whenever we can.

Bye the bye , what were you wanting to know about Glasgow?

Bye for now, Norrie
