Never been in,Passed it for years on the top deck of a bus
I know many old firm players drink in there because it is quiet and near the city centre.
Love the red sandstone building next door, hope they keep it as part of the new science park.

I was actually in the Old College bar a few weeks ago, me and a couple of mates have a habit of going out and visiting pubs we haven't been into before - having a few beers and moving on - kinda mini pub crawl. It used to occur purely on a bank holiday monday - but on this occasion it was just a piss up.

The Old College bar was very dark inside - but the regulars / locals made us very welcome - just watch out for the guard dogs outside the (very smelly) gents toilets. - didn't seen any Old Firm Players though

Cheap beer though - which is always a winner.

Also the Press Bar nearby is pretty cheap and do a great selection of Bar Snacks (toasties, Soup & Roll, Chicken Tikki Masala etc)

Used to go in there quite often, quiet pub, no hassle bit dingy but reasonably priced beer :)

Here it is in full glory

Now i'm puzzled by the dates. "Estd 1810" and also "built circa 1515".

I presume this building was not built that long ago, but is maybe on the site of a previous pub. 1810 seems more reasonable, the Old College buildings lasting opposite until 1885. Anyone know any more?
