My abiding memory of his was a warm, funny, intelligent man who was great company and always showed kindness and concern to those around him. That is something we should all aspire to.

I am so sorry to hear the news about HH.
I never met him sadly nor indeed anyone from HG on any of the outings however over the time I spent here I found him knowledgeable, helpful, natural and very funny.
I asked him about his signature and he couldn't remember but I suspected it was to do with me saying once that I talked too much. :)

My sincere condolences to his family and to all who knew him here.

Like a few others, I am not on here often at all now due to the other pressures of work and life generally.

I just spotted the sad news about Bob tonight. I am really saddened to hear this, I had the pleasure of his company a few times at HG drinks nights and found him to be like his posts on here, witty, informative, entertaining and sincere.

Some of the research that he undertook for some of the topics that he was passionate on here about is second to none.

Here's to Bob and i'll raise a glass to him tonight as I read back through some of the threads that he contributed so much to.

All the best to all.

I came here to look up info on a Glasgow nightclub, but came across this awful news.
Like others, I only met Robert a couple of times, but he always came across as a really sweet person, and his posts were always interesting.

2016 continues to be one of the crappiest of years.
