Yep, hit by the back then side of the car while walking on the pavement. Not at any speed to do damage, but it shows how oblivious she was. On a road with loads of kids going to primary and high schools.

We got the reg number of the ambulance but you know what? I can't be bothered with the hassle. I know that's not the right attitude but have ended up with egg on my face too many times before after complaining about things.. :(

What I'd like to know is where is everyone going in such a hurry? Why don't they just leave five minute earlier?
There's a lot of angry people out there with somewhere really important to go.

Since I live in the sticks though nowadays, there are plenty of reasons for getting p**ed off I can assure you.

Pet Hate #1 is tractor and JCB drivers. Why they choose to go out at rush hour when everyone else is trying to get to their work, and fair dues - there are some who pull into the layby to let queues clear - but there is an equal number of miserable b***ards who merrily drive past places where they could have pulled in. That makes my blood boil, as it only infuriates people into taking silly chances which causes accidents.

If I was transport secretary I'd put a curfew on all agricultural vehicles on primary routes at peak times.

Bus drivers are the same, "I'm ahead of schedule and I am going to drive at 20mph" not giving a damn for the tailback behind him, also the drivers that cut in to the queue, particularly bad just now on the approaches to the Erskine Bridge. Don't get me started on cyclists, singularly they are no problem, but I am talking about the swarm of lycra clad tossers that plague the roads round Eaglesham on a Sunday morning, sometimes up to 20, all bunched up so that there is no chance of you getting by, and they know it and love it.

That looks like an Audi, rushing through the Ardennes to a severe doing.

Set of lights out at Anniesland X on the Bearsden Road side early this morning. Watched two women shoot straight through at 30-40mph. Road was quiet but they still nearly hit a lorry.

Apparently First drivers get disciplined quite badly for running early, and are threatened with their jotters if they do it too often. (maybe that's why they are always advertising for drivers in the back window of their buses...but I digress). Reminds me of a time I was on the old 62 service going along the Gallowgate past St Mungo's school and the driver was going embarrassingly slow - in fact PAINFULLY slow - like 15mph probably. Bearing in mind this was rush hour and the body language of my fellow passengers was showing people were getting somewhat p***ed off with the situation.

Eventually someone's temper finally snapped - "Driver gonnae speed up a bit for God's sake!!!", to which the driver responded:

"Sorry - ahhm runnin' early".....and this woman retorted "well we're all f***ing late!!!!". He never listened and just carried on....

Yep, you need the patience of a saint to be a First Bus passenger these days.

Where was I in all this kerfuffle you may ask - I work flexitime so I really wasn't bothered about the slow meander into town to be honest. Being the sadist that I am I was quite enjoying watching other people's pain.... ::):
