Gartnavel Hospital A&E

Postby scott125 » Sun Mar 17, 2013 12:06 am

Has Gartnavel Hospital ever had A&E facilities ? I know Stobhill did.

Got me thinking that Clydebank area lacks a hospital with A&E .

Shortest thread ever :D

When the Western closes, you will have to be able to get to the Southern General (or South Glasgow Hospital, as it seems to be known now). If you are not ill enough to need an ambulance and you use public transport, you'll be dead by the time you get there. :(
Anyone know if there will be A&E facilities for the North side anywhere??

I thought Vale of Leven Hospital had A&E .

Doubt they would put A&e in the Golden Jubilee Hospital :)

Ach yer all missing the point!

You've to phone NHS24 and wait 24 hours to hear some eejit tell you that you're no really ill by the time the 24 hours are over you'll be pan bread and saved the NHS thousands....

The one and only time I had to phone NHS24, just after I had moved to Glasgow, I got a row from the battle-axe at the other end of the phone for not being registered with a doctor. Crabbit bitch!

It has been thought about, though not much seems to have been done to pursue it.

I've been summoned to Gartnavel on Monday night at 7pm for a CT scan.

Do any of our NHS type members know if this part of a 2 or 3 shift system to make better use of expensive machines or just a one-off?

Thanks for any input.

Suspect a waiting list initiative.
