Especially the BDP one.

Hmm...three buildings....

1. The new Unity student residences on the High Street
2. The big stupid cube thing at the end of the architecture building at Strathclyde...think its called the Wolfson Centre? Pretty pointless anyway!
3. Bewleys Hotel....remember reading an interview with Gordon Murray, he said it was designed to 'provoke and inspire debate', either way its pretty gadge! (Probably shouldn't hammer it too hard, seeing as one of my tutors designed the thing)

1. The Hilton Hotel. It looks like something in Las Vegas...
2. Princes Square Shopping Centre. It looks crap and tacky inside...
3. The Unite building in Cowcaddens. It makes people fearful in the area...

I think there's some more housing impeding the formation slightly in the west
of Paisley, near the Fulbar Street overbridge. Foolish (deliberate?) decision making

I thik it would still be possible if they had the inititive or will to do it. IMHO a good option considering the capacity problems between PGS and GC- good diversion route

The Hilton hotel, demolish it now. Its an eyesore ( it hurts my eyes) and its no longer suitable for human inhabitation. Hopefully it will be replaced, by 'plush' low rise semi and detat... Hold on, dont they do this to all the other tall buildings in Glasgow :roll:

I'm betting there's a whole thread on it somewhere, but I can't find it. My current most hated building has to be that fucking new thing at the corner of Glasgow cross.
Is it a reject from some other site, it doesn't have any sympathy with the surrounding buildings at all. It's a bloody disgrace it was allowed to be built next to the Tollbooth

What's even worse is that it was the Head of 4th Year at the Mac Architecture School that's responsible for it, apparently (well, his practice anyway).

All of the stuff being built on the Eastern side of high street is appalling. Hopefully this isnt a glimpse into the future when the College Lands plan comes on stream.

The demolition work on newton st cut-down between portcullis house & clive house ? has been on hold for 3 months now, some arguement about airspace, access, insurance, warrantys, noise etc, all legalities aside the demolition is pretty much on programme. I know it looks like there is nothing going on from the outside but it`s all preparation & the real stuff starts now ::):
