(apologies to dazzababes)

My choices are:

1. The houses built on the trackbed of the old Paisley Canal Line.

2. The flats built on the trackbed of the old Maryhill Central line at Kirklee.

3. That hotel extension (or whatever it is) blocking the view of the Queen St. station arch from Queen St.

3 TO GO:
The hotel in Bath Street with 'the Roof'
The St Enoch Center
The Matrix at Cowcadens (What the **** is that all about)
To think that Greek Thompson is falling down round about us and that piss is going up in its place

Perhaps not quite buildings, but hopefully acceptable in the spirit of the thread:

1. Princes Square. Security threw me out for taking photos inside just after it opened.

2. George Square as is, with the provisio they put it back the way it was.

3. Every eye offending red and yellow M topped McDonalds Image throughout the world.

I know they're all impossible, but a little fantasy does the heart good.

1. The City Chambers (complete with occupants)

2. That stupid looking hotel (Raddison)? on Argyle Street facing Wetherspoons

3. The Morrison development at the bottom of Byres Road where "The Volcano" used to be.

How much time have you got? I couldn't limit it to three.

1 Yorkhill Hospital, looming up on the hill like the house out of Psycho but built from plans for a filing cabinet.

2 Adam Smith building at Glasgow Uni, hidden away as it should be at the moment, but possibly the worst looking building on the planet

3 Anniesland Court, and the stupid bloody trick lighting, which was a true exercise in jobby polishing

hmmmm

St Enoch Centre

Braehead

um......cant think of a third......oh oh....the new flats that got built in Anniesland in place of the old cinema. They knocked the old cinama down keeping the front and built flats on the back. Not quite the same....i would have rather seen a little cinema again :(

The lighting of Anniesland Court was always a bit ludicrous, but was augmented by the episode of the Armando Ianucci show that was on the week before, the basic jist of one of the sketches was that a community felt that the homeless people in the streets were a bit depressing so they called in a conceptual artist to mood light them. That was bloody hilarious, but the night they switched them on the next week (I can see the flats from my window) was a sad night, what a waste of money

That bloody Ernst & Young building on the North side of George Square. A real blot on the ortherwise architecturally splendid view)

The hotel extension and the office building outside Queen St (see above).

The hideous St Enoch centre. I'd tear it down with my bear hands given the chance)

From a purely sporting point of view, I'd like to Ibrox and Celtic park reduced to rubble!

the red road flats there an eye sore.
Second choice would have to be the sighthill flats, their a bigger eye sore.
My third choice can't think of one at the minute.

1)the Brick Shithouse drama school building on Renfrew st - perfect site for the 39 floor skyscraper supposedly planned for Charing X
2)the recent extension to the Caledonian Uni - looks like an East German bus station & must confuse tourists no end what with the real bus station across the road
3)I would've said the Scotrail building however its shiny new makeover is nearly complete so I'm going to opt for around half of Strathclyde University
clearly there are 'inbuilt' flaws in the Scots education system
