Well we can move them only if we can crown the Average White Band No1?
What about Solo Scottish artists
Lulu
Rod Stewart
Gerry Rafferty

I'm sorry but SAHB stay at numero uno =P

And as for Rod Stewart, someone ought to pour a gallon of petrol on him and set him on fire.

I didn't. I just mentioned that some of his early Marillion lyrics are utter rubbish.

I like both Marillion eras, but the Hogarth stuff I would listen to more.

Yeah, I was at the Barra's last month for the Marbles show - no Fish-era
stuff at all, great gig all round.

As for Fish's lyrics - some of his lyrics on Fugazi are embarrassing to be honest.

Win!
Wet wet wet
Blue Nile
texas
Love and money and all the other weedy bands that came from Glasgow in the 80s

Good stuff?

Mogwai, Arab Strap, JAMC, primal scream all pretty class, but whoever said Alex Harvey deserved to be at number one was probably right.

I seem to remember that Angus and Malcolm Young were originally from Glasgow- Garnethill if I recall. Bon Scott was from Kirriemuir. So the DC deserve fully to be at number 2. But only up to "Back in Black". And maybe a couple of tracks from "For those about to rock"

Forgotten sons?

The Stretchheads. A couple of cracking albums and singles in the late 80s. Some of the most extraordinarly live shows I've ever seen. We may never see their likes again.
