Scotland's greatest bands

My vote goes to the Sensational Alex Harvey Band. In fact, they are probably the second greatest band ever, after AC/DC ;>

What about you?

Gallagher and Lyle are my all time favourites from Scotland (Actually a duo with session players).

Simple Minds, and those guys that sung 'A letter from America' that wear glasses (their name escapes me) are others off the cuff for now.

I've got to Breakaway.......

Agreed. I see from your avatar you're a fellow Rainbow fan. It's true that today's music just isn't the same ;<

Primal Scream, I guess...

And weren't the Young boys fae AC/DC born in Scotland, that makes them almost a Scottish band... Good band anyway...

But is there a reason nobody said Deacon Blue? They are really good.

AC/DC (greatest band ever) were originally from Scotland (the Youngs come from Lesmahagow, to be precise) but moved to Australia, which is where they've mostly been for the past thirty years. That's why I placed them at number 1½, after the Sensational Alex Harvey Band ;>
