Beanscene etc often replace overpriced cold soft drinks with overpriced caffeine drinks.

It's been done.

There’s already a factory-shop type candle supplier in Robert St. Govan, beside the subway depot, that ought to cover most needs.
Forbye the over priced New Glasgow cafes, everything else is pretty much available mail order at about two days delivery?

There's also Flower Scene in Admiral Street (I think) opposite the Quay, which is technically wholesale, but does retail if you spend twenty quid or more. I used to buy 200 hour candles from in there. Much bigger than it looks from the outside, btw.

I was certain you were going to say something along the lines of "150 hours - they were working to rule".

Glasgow needs somewhere you can get a really good breakfast at the time when you want to eat breakfast. I live in the city centre, and am surrounded by cafes and greasy spoons but none of them open before 9.30/10.00 even during the week. Even then, you are lucky if you get more than the basic full breakfast or something fried in a role. I was once asked by a tourist couple staying in the serviced apartments on Argyle St where they could go for a nice, early breakfast in the morning and it stumped me.

How I would love to sit down to some eggs benedict, or some hash browns and eggs, smoked salmon and scrambled egg etc. on my way to work in the morning. The Trans Europe cafe on Parnie street does a lovely Sunday brunch, but why should only be allowed a decent breakfast once a week and at lunch time?

The Baby Grand at Charing X does a good breakfast (eggs benedict, salmon and scrambled egg etc) as myself and MK can attest. Closer to your end of town Cranberrys on Brunswick St does a posh breakfast, though I don't know if it opens before 10 am. Tinderbox probably does something decent and is open before 9.

What Glasgow really needs is a decent metro/transport network so that you can get to these places easily!
