A smaller GCT monogram, this one is at Govan Depot. Being at head height, this has already had some wee jobbie hacking away at it.

A sad state of affairs :-(

I took these photos a few weeks back before the area was filled in.

Why is the word "costumes" painted on the wall? Is it something do with the play that took place in the Tramway about 15 years ago, called the mahabarta?

Also

Is the Scottish Ballet moving here as well?

The demolished section was being used as storage space so I'l make a leap and say that they probably stored costumes where costumes is scrawled on the wall.

Also, yes (see a few pages back).

F*ck....that is totally rubbish! Bring back 70's style grey cement buildings! At least they have published a photo of what's getting built, anyone seen a picture of the seven storey monster they are building on the site of the Plaza?

To be fair, the quality of the surrounding new builds (which aren't illustrated here) is absolutely dire so this will make a positive contribution to the fabric of the area and streetscape despite our feelings on the loss of the section of the former Coplawhill Works. The only real problem I have with it is its relationship to the adjoining St Ninians Church. Other than that, I think it can only be a good thing.

RE the Plaza, I was amazed that the developer kept the facade but you're right Andy, its an absolute monster!!!

The last time I was there I had a look to see if it was lying in the garden, and had a quick word with one of the staff, but he didn't know anything.
I'd guess it's still lying in the closed off section.

What and absolutely lovely (boak) and original cuboid steel, glass and cheap wood, structure that will be replacing an old fashioned and apparently worthless stone building left to rot until it conveniently fell down. I feel like I'm living in a rebuilding of Berlin in the 60's after WW2 and not Glasgow.
