Maryhill Canal Locks

Any idea what's happening up there?

The canal has been fenced off for days, and there's some serious construction equipment moving about.

Just at the Kelvin Dock pub.

I walked along the tow path the other week and they were cutting down trees and chipping them near the old White House pub. Don't know if that was routine or preparation for major work.

Anything on the British Waterways site?

Its at that exact spot. Loads of Heras fencing up from the viaduct over the road, all the way down to where the canal crosses the Kelvin further down the Botany.

There's nothing on the website, although I suppose it could have something to do with the site just over the canal in the Wyndford, its been empty for a wee while now since they pulled the tenements down.

Yeah, they are indeed doing repairs. I've seen some work being done to The White House pub as well.
