Ah yes I just noticed that they changed their pricing scheme last July. It was before that date when my dad was shown a 'Handling Charge', or something like that.

Thanks

any uk price, i'd imagine, which cancels out pixmania and 7dayshop. I think john lewis do something similar.

i use my camera at concerts for my wonderful, wonderful webshite. problem is, the only setting (nikon coolpix775) that doesnt use the flash (they HATE that) gets a bit blurry with movement.
any ideas that dont involve buying a new one?

I think you need to ask them to turn the house lights up if you want to keep the 775.

The lens is average at f2.8, and the spec shows you have little control over the ISO setting which is 100 with automatic gain to 200.

This basically means handheld shots in artifical light are going to show blur from shake unless you can support the camera. I'd guess a tri or monopod is out, so you're stuck with leaning against a handy wall or pillar.

Other than that, the usual trick is shooting at the wide angle end of the zoom, rather then the tele. While this will mask the effect of any shake, the resulting pic will be smaller than if if zoomed in, but the effect of zooming in is to amplify any shake.

Nothing to get too excited about. A Pentax optio S5i. I thought the more portable it is, the more likely I am to actually carry it with me and use it.

It gets a good review at steves-digicams.com but i'm not sure i'd go for one that didn't take generic batteries.

Nice and compact though, by the look of it. you'd need big pockets to hold my minolta z10.

How do you upload images?

Postby JYC » Sun May 29, 2005 3:58 pm

This may seem like a really daft question, and I'm sure the answer is somewhere on the forum already but I just can't find it...

How do you upload images in the postings.

Also, do some of you guys always have your digi cam at hand for random shots to link in with postings?

Yep, but not as often as we'd like or should :(

Missed 2 guys using a cherry picker to lift a manhole cover at the Forge yesterday. They lifted the cover, its frame and ripped up all the block paving around it.

Moral, don't leave it behind... Ever!

Thanks fossil - just managed to post my first pic!!

Here's another of me on ben wyvis.

I think I'm going to start carry my camera everywhere too. I've got a tiny Nikon Coolpix 5200, an ace camera with a metal body for taking abuse!
