Looking at the hand held picture scanners, as i want tyo digitise my family snaps, the ones that scan a 6x4 to an SD card, then u upload to the pc, are they any good?

I have a memory card that for some reason, lets you view the pictures taken on the camera, but when it comes to uploading via memory card reader or cable it says the folder is corrupt, anyone got any ideas what i can use to fix this.
I saw somewhere, not sure if its on here, or on flickr, software you can download that retrieves pictures deleted from a memory card, and would this work

Im looking to upgrade my camera bag, currently have the lowepro slingshot 200, looking at the lowepro pro runner AW.
Wondering of anyone on here has one as i read a review of it in digital slr photography looks good, but it says it can hold 2 dslrs, but online it says just the one

I've got a Fastpack 250 too - excellent bag. Calumet have them in stock so if you go down there you will be able to take a look. They let me put my gear in it too to see if it all fitted

I've got a crumpler for a short day out, and a big Kata for a whole day...shoulder bags. I really prefer them for fast access to change a lens. I would just feel there was always some one getting into the back of a back pack and making off with stuff, especially in busy places.
Youtube has loads of videos on camera bags and how they perform.

I left my bubble-level behind yesterday which was a nuisance. Still, there a five dots along a horizontal line in the viewfinder which the EOS uses to determine what to focus on. They can be used as a horizon line but I still have trouble holding the camera level. It's probably a combination of a natural distortion in the (cheapish) lens and Grannie Brigit's vintage eye-sight.
What would be really useful is a level that slots into the hotshoe that gives an audible signal that depends on the angle that the camera is tilted. Ideally, it would go silent when it's perfectly level.
Is there such a thing?
Do I design and patent it before someone else does?

My spare camera is a Finepix s8100 bridge camera. it has a Macro function, a super macro function and an 18 times optical zoom it also has a digital zoom but I've never needed it. They are retailing in Jessops for £179. It's a great wee camera and despite having bought a Nikon D3000 I will be keeping it as a spare. Well worth the money and can take video with sound.

Grannie B! Can't think of anything worse in the world than an audible level indicator! Do you not think it'd drive you nuts?
Worst case, if you're a wee bit out then you can fix it pretty easily in photoshop or iphoto or whatever software you're using. And doing it that way people are much less likely to fall out with you.

HI, I've posted on here for years without having a real camera. I've got a Nikon VR iso2000 and a Samsung phone. I've now retired and am looking for an entry level Digital SLR. Any suggestions?
