well the demolition is going slower than expected, but the way they are doing it was and is exactly as i was told the day i visited the site, that is that they are taking 8 storey bites out of the block leaving the core(lift shafts stairs etc) untill last knock the 8 storey core out and repeat till done, scareyman you need to remember there is a MAJOR gas main in EXTREAME close proximity to the two blocks and checks will be ongoing to their condition during demolition.
as to the weight issue of the muncher i will and dont post porkies rest assured i went and ASKED about the original demolition hold up,and that was what i was told, will do some digging and report back!!!
