Must confess I frequented the Riverside a lot, and I never had an issue with the bouncers.....the door tended not to have stewards early evening for the ceilidh slot, but you certainly saw them later on. My only bug with the place was that the drinks were relatively expensive.

I weent to the Riverside Folk Club on a number of occassions and never saw a bouncer.

I went to an accordion/ fiddle dance once and the bouncers were fine. I did hear tell they could be a bit over enthusiastic but I heard similar reports of the Riverside owner's other licenced premises in Edinburgh and, in all my visits, never saw any trouble there either.
I hear the people sing.
