Views of the new college on Cathedral St and Science Centre

I took these pics form Livingstone Tower on Richmond St last night while at Celtic Music Radio's studio. They show the development of the new college building on Cathedral St., the Science Centre on George St. and surrounding area.

There seems to be a lot of construction work in hand judging by the tower cranes.
Does anyone have knowledge of any pre-development archaeological digs and results now a planning requirement (PPG16) or a new revision?
