Dem-Master Appointed Glasgow Housing Association Contract

Glasgow Housing Association ( GHA ) has appointed Dem-Master Demolition Limited as the principal contractor for the demolition and site clearance of the three 20 storey tower blocks at Iona Court Glasgow. Minor preparatory works have commenced however these are currently limited to site boundary fencing. Site cabins and welfare facilities will be arriving during week commencing 28th January with roads, pavements and services infrastructure condition surveys also being carried out during this week.
Initially we will be limiting our works on site to internal strip out works with machine demolition not commence until late April or Early May 2013. We will demolish the blocks by means of High Reach demolition excavators and the works will be completed by the end of this year. During the works on site we will keep dust and noise levels to a minimum at all times. All demolition materials will be transported back to our Bathgate recycling centre for processing. Dem-Master are currently recycling 95% of all demolition materials excluding asbestos.

As part of our continued commitment to local communities, we intend to have a Neighbourhood Care Centre on-site at Iona Court Glasgow where affected neighbours/residents will be able to come and chat through any questions or concerns they may have in relation to the demolition works being carried out.
