That is so not funny.......
He advocated for the weak against the strong, the poor against the rich and labour against capital.

Ooh, there's an interesting question.

Glasgow has always been, to my knowledge, Anglocentric.

Good to see Sandy Stoddart is still alive and available to deliver his standard lecture on anything modern.

Good point. What with a modernising UK Government and a modernising City Council, Glasgow can be assured of a place at the forefront of recovery.

Given the present need to make savings by GCC, is this really a priority?

Borrowing AND leverage. I am worried about the collective sanity of Glasgow City Council and the national government for approving it.

cash to be borrowed against projected rises in business rates

The fact that Paddy Harvie is agin' it probably means it's an excellent idea.

When was it last renovated? I remember they dug it all up, cleaned the statues, laid new electrical outlets for events, installed brighter lights, and laid a new surface. It was in the last 5 years or so but I can't find any reference to it yet online.

Anyone got any evidence it ever happened?
