"We’re looking for someone to take on a fair bit of work across the whole of the Southside (including South West like Pollok and Priesthill). This project involves working with different communities, supporting groups and organisations to set up their own community growing spaces.

We have been contacted by several different groups ranging from churches to housing associations, all looking for help to get their ideas up and running. In some communities they’ve already got a good number of local people on board, in others they’re needing quite a lot of legwork and community engagement. We want to be able to leave these groups with the skills and capacity to manage their spaces by themselves.

From Mid August – end March; £12 per hour, 14 hours a week.
...
To be the right person for this role you should have:
- Excellent community engagement and community development skills.
- Extensive knowledge and experience of organic gardening and garden design.
- The ability to inspire others.
- Brilliant communication skills both written and verbal.
- Experience of running workshops and training courses.
- Your own transport (preferably the two wheeled variety).

Please get in touch if you’re interested with a letter outlining why you’d be the best person for the role. You’re welcome to forward this on to anyone else you think may be interested. Email [email protected]

Thanks!"
