This 19th Century building has been in a bit of a state for years. There seems to be a campaign to save it. Theres also a job going at the place for those who may be interested

Bad news (again)

"VANDALS have burned down a building at a new community hub in Glasgow just months after a fire attack destroyed a workshop and tool shed there.

Lambhill Stables on the banks of the Forth and Clyde Canal was targeted by culprits who set a series of small fires after boring into wooden joint.

....................................

The latest attack comes just seven months after the hub was officially opened. Just days before the launch, £25,000 of damage was caused when a workshop and tool shed were destroyed by fire"

What utter, UTTER cunts! (Sorry to anyone offended by *that* word, but if the shoe fits…..)

God knows, this area needs all the community centres, hubs, whatever, it can get, and this sort of destruction is a real kick in the guts for local folk.

I wonder if we'd be allowed to boil the culprits in oil, slowly, if they're caught?

Oh, how I wish we could ……

Just when it couldn't get worse, Lambhill Stables has lost the Climate Challenge Fund money which has supported their work. There's a fundraiser on Saturday at the Stables. Sorry for the flyer size. If some kind mod can shrink a bit ................. :D

That is crap!!
I am so annoyed that I can't get to this -stuck in feckin exile.

Lambhill stables is as important to Lambhill as the local shop/pub or church.

A community is made up of all the things that LS stands for!!

I have local connections to Lambhill and I remember all the stories I heard from my grandmother and her sisters and brothers who grew up there and as important that reminiscences, stories and long forgotten facts are to a place - this is much more than a historical drop-in centre.
