Having reviewed all of the evidence then I'm forced to conclude you
're right, spare us the boring new shiny box
Did you walk about Glasgow with your eyes closed and only open them once you were in front of this building? There is a building which is mirrored only 500yards away for goodness sake. If you had looked towards the City Centre you would have seen the big shiny Ramada Hotel, build the nice hotel but rehome and adequately remunerate the site occupier.
Tanks for teh lesson in spellerating I'm crap and Lazy....
As to the blind point I live in Stirling a town not festooned with big shiny nice hotels, so that when I get a chance to go to Glasgow I often stay awake

. My grumble is not sepcific to the saving of this one crappy building (altho, power to the pawn man) but in the replacing throught the ages of buildings that were functional and intersting (creating a diverse landscape in which to live) with boring buildings that whilst possibly more suited to perpose (spell check please) were less architechturally intersting. We as a nation are quick to discard what is seen as out dated and useless, where as I would argue that often the resultant building falls into the above trap faster than the original.
In this case however anything is better than the present so I Doft my cap to you sir and accept a large slice of humble pie. However perhaps the solution might be to rehome the pawn shop in the ground floor of the Shiny hotel, so as to alow pawn to mix with porn
Finished humble Pie
Out
Mr Sam
