Tontine Lane (between Argyle St and Bell St)

Postby Ringring » Mon May 18, 2009 11:43 am

Hi!
Does anyone know what the network of buildings in Tontine lane is?
there are some old neon signs that say EMPIRE and a couple of signs for a pub?
there are also lots of loading points for vans.
thanks!

Culture and Sport Glasgow and Land and Environmental Services back on to the lane from Trongate and High Street. Our High Street expert will be along in a moment to explain how to Google.
"I before E, except after C" works in most cases but there are exceptions.

And so it goes on. Sad, really.

Cheers, Rico.

I didn't actually know it was by Douglas Gordon.

Also in the lane is the mercifully salvaged neon sign for the Mitre Bar which was a few streets west in Brunswick Street (well, technically it's still there as it hasn't been demolished yet).
