As well as a new quay wall they are also building a pedestrian bridge. What you saw was possibly the start of that.

The wall is knackered near the old Euro Yachts. I agree it was probably due to the rain as there is a big sewer overflow in this location.

Oh so that's where all the Council Tax goes, Palm Trees in Planters in a dead end of a Street in an area that is turning into a big building Site for the next three years......meanwhile trees grow out the Old Merchant's Hall at the Briggait. Land Services must be awash with cash.

Ahhh ...thats good that crappy building has gone, its strange to see that area being cleared for the M74 as i've grown around about it most of my life.

The area along and across the road from behind the Scotland street school where Howdens was has planning in for a mixed development.

Tiger Developments

Tiger Developments today announced that it has purchased a ten acre site on Scotland Street, Glasgow, for a major re-development project.

Acquired from a private investor, the derelict brownfield site in Scotland Street currently houses a number of dilapidated industrial buildings and has lain inactive for over 15 years. The site is also occupied by the iconic Scotland Street School Museum.

Subject to planning, Tiger proposes a £100 million high-quality scheme incorporating 358,000 square feet of office space, 130 bed hotel and ancillary retail units. The Category A Listed museum, which is separately owned, will be left entirely intact under the plans.

What has happened with the development of the above? Has it stalled completely?
