So is anyone up for a Glasgow-Balloch roundtrip this weekend? Approximately 40 miles or so from SECC and back!

Don't think I'll be able to Pedal for Scotland on this occasion unfortunately. This continuous rain (wet days = no work) has wiped out my all-too-meagre budget for such things I'm afraid. And if the 13th does happen to be a dry-ish day I'll certainly have to spend it working. Maybe next time - or maybe join in another HG ride sometime soon.

Looks like it's the perfect weather for it. Those intrepid souls doing the round trip'll even get a tailwind home. (Wish I could have made it along, but maybe next year.)

Well done indeed :D A fair wee run, is 50 miles.

Hope you enjoyed Winchburgh by the way, not to mention that boring 'place where dogs go to die' bit between Airdrie and Caldercruix.

I had to feel sorry for the poor TE on the 0755 helensburgh-bridgeton train on sun...35 bikes on it and the idiots didnt have a clue how to SAFELY put them on...blocking gangways, doors, on the bloody seats...i know the signs say thank for not putting your FEET on the seats, but a bike is taking the 'hit n miss'
