They've heard Walbass is coming.

But looks more like a (Walter) Mitty Shop than a Shitty Mop place  .

Lovely bar interior and no whiff of aforementioned shitty mop :)

Amstel, Heineken and Boddingtons were consumed and met
with draught approval and at £2.80 a pint, good value.

For fellow Hoegaarden aficionados, £3.50 per bottle (£7 pintos equiv.) 8O

Worse still, served in generic non approved glass
Well the bar tender did try his upmost to add a nice touch
by chilling the non generic glass.

Claim to fame, sat in the same seat as Iain Robertson did in the
filming

Yip HH, that's a fair whack for a half pint (bottle), had to scan
the evidence, or it would have been in the realms of urban myth.
Once charged the princely sum of £3.50 for a can of cola in a club 8O

£3.50 for one of the 250ml bottles? That's ridiculous!
£2.80 for a pint is costly as far as i'm concerned too

Was in Edinburger few years back, used to carry round the
receipt to shock folks. Was one of the clubs in New Town,
might have been in George St.

At £1 a bottle, I'm in on that one... :D

I used to have a receipt that i found in a nightclub that said something like

1 Pint Tennents £2.50
1 Babies £2.80

I've always wondered wtf "babies" was...
Babycham? Would it go through the till as "Babies"?
Either that or they were selling orphans behind the bar...

so December's HG meet at Strathy student union then? ::):

Tuesday , thursday nights are busy and late friday afternoons. Saturday they're up the garage.

Although I should be the last to suggest a night out but the Queens Club would appear to be the ideal HG drinking den. nothing to do with the name it's in Queen streert but it it's downstairs hidden from the main street has a snooker table and is cheap.

Or wahat about the snug in The Steps Bar, wood panelled , tables screwed to teh floor and cheap. handy for M&S for the ladies.
