Book launch 9 June (free wine and nibbles)

Postby Ronnie » Tue May 24, 2005 6:55 pm

My book "Death by Design: The True Story of the Glasgow Necropolis" will be launched in Borders, Buchanan Street, on Thursday 9 June at 6.30. There will be wine, and some canapès, courtesy of top chap Cumbo. As well as my "witty and well-researched" text (as it says on the back cover), the book features a superb map and other fine illustrations by our very own trusty Crusty Bint. So it's a bit of a family affair ...

There will be more drinks at a secret venue (above ground, at least to begin with) after the launch.

Hope to see you all at the launch. The book's only £5.99, folks.

Good luck with the nite, Ronnie, hope all goes well.

I will be in sunny Tenerife, or I'd be there being a groupie also :D

Thanks everyone for your good wishes. There will be a small west end launch on 14 June, in the Hyndland Bookshop at 6.30, followed by some drinks in a nearby hostelry (perhaps Eden, for the surreal beauty of having a drink in a hairdressers). This may suit some of you who will be out of town on the 9th.

I am still in Tan-erife then, so I will just have to pretend and have my own book launch at home with some dairylea on toast when I get back :)

You'll need some warm wine out of a box for the full-on book launch experience ...

Sorry you can't manage the launches, but if you buy the book I'll sign it for you.
