2nd January 2017 Walk

Postby Guacho » Mon Dec 26, 2016 11:16 pm

Might be a duff idea, but to encourage participation, thought I could suggest a demographical walk. The core idea is that everyone does a bit of research on one location, rather than a single person moderating the walk.
Only caveats are: it has to be at least a hundred years old and the more interesting or unusual the better. Plan to start at Glasgow Cross, with the default to move up the High St/Castle St, then move North West although any diversions welcome..
Meet 11am Glasgow Cross on 2nd January. All welcome, even if you don’t find anything to talk about. Usual pit stops apply.

Thanks to the nine hardy souls who braved the cold today. Enjoyed the company very much. Bonus, first post of 2017!

Many Thanks G

Really enjoyed meeting up with the group and was good to see some familiar and new (to me) faces

The walk was great, if a little chilly, but the sun stayed out most of the time

Appreciate the time spent in putting the walk together, it takes longer than most appreciate to put a set of notes together, so thanks for making the effort
