+++ PLEASE CHECK BELOW FOR UPDATED TRAVEL DETAILS DUE TO RAILWORKS +++

Join us for a wander along the less busy part of the Edinburgh Royal Mile, down to Holyrood and Arthur's Seat.
We will visit the The Holyrood 9a for refreshments and The Fudge House of Edinburgh cannot be missed either, apart from that this walk will be determined by the weather and the participant's preferences. There is much to see and to do.

Saturday, 27th June 2015

Meet in Glasgow: Queen Street Station at the Dundas Street entrance at 10:25 to catch the 10:45 train
Meet in Edinburgh: Waverly Train Station at the main concourse at 11:45

As always, all welcome :D

Just a heads up guys, due to engineering works at Winchburgh tunnel, all trains from Glasgow Queen Street to Waverley Via Falkirk will terminate at Linlithgow replacement buses will be in operation, calling at Haymarket and Waverley.

These works start tomorrow Saturday 13th June and will run for the next 44 consecutive days.

You can of course take the electric train from Glasgow Queen St low level via Airdrie and Bathgate, which won't be affected by the closure at Winchburgh, although trains will be busier than usual.

I'm not looking forward to Monday's commute to work - carnage

Cheers YB

I'll probably jump the low level one at Partick and then either see you on that train or meet you in Erinboro.

Are we having as assembly point at Waverly like we did on the last walk? Be a good idea for others maybe local to Errinboro or coming on the walk but getting to Waverly on alternate transport

Just a thought

John

Hello, we'll meet at the Dundas Street exit / entrance that also leads to the lower level to give the smokers maximum value, and yes, we will assemble in Edinburgh at the main concourse as planned - albeit a tad later due to the train taking longer. :D :D :D

Glad I looked in, so it's the Queen St low level, not the Central one! Ahahahaha, I'd have been standing under the clock in the Central like a right fanny or like Fossil in other words.

Thanks to Poodie, got to see quite a few bits Errinboro that I'd never seen before

Wonder if the girl with the selfie stick & doing the running commentary made it to Arthur's Seat
