This event brings together iconic figures from the folk scene of the 60′s and 70′s with a younger generation of musicians who have been inspired and influenced by their work.

Mike Heron, psychedelic folk pioneer, founding member of the Incredible String Band and veteran of the Woodstock festival, has been collaborating and touring throughout Europe with Glasgow based indie folk outfit the Trembling Bells.
In this unique performance Mike and the band will perform re-imagined Incredible String Band classics, Trembling Bells originals and newly commissioned pieces with Gaelic vocalist Alasdair Whyte.

Margaret Macleod and Na h-Òganaich were trailblazers in the popularisation of Gaelic traditional song in the 1970′s. For this performance she will be joined by Alasdair Whyte and his band to present favourites from her back catalogue, tracks from Alasdair’s debut album and new interpretations of traditional Gaelic songs.
