A million thanks to Petra for such a well organised day. I really enjoyed that and everyone's company.
Cleggy you snickering floppy eared hound when courage is needed, you're ne'er around.
Those medals you wear on your moth-eaten chest should be there for bungling at which you are best.

Echo Inkman

Thanks to Poodie for a great day and for all the time, effort and money spent.

Next time I want to make a donation at the start for the obvious out of pocket expenses incurred including the "funny orange" and "strange tea" all perfectly glorious.

Loved the day and the company as always, great to see you all again, though missed a few of the usual suspects who couldn't make it........................buck up fer fek sake you lot, you know who you are.

Even got a cheap book and must be a bit fiiter, I never realized West Kilbride was in the Alps before

Can't wait for the next one. always look forward to them

Now I seriously need to get ma ass in gear and organize summit

Yes, Petra, thanks for a great day out - you even organised the weather! Agree we should have a kitty for refreshments - Petra refused my offer & she must've been out of pocket, kind but not fair! Good photos VT! Thanks to all for great company :D .

I couldn't agree more with all of the above. Some mention has to be made of the bookshop that was a minimally-converted church (good idea, actually):

And what I thought was an excellent wee museum (complete with some startling Great War items, including what appeared to be period trench maps):

How lucky with the weather though? Certainly luckier than just over the water:

Cheers!
All the world seems in tune on a Spring afternoon, when we're poisoning pigeons in the park.
