Clubs and random distractions

Postby Mhuireann » Tue Feb 25, 2014 10:28 pm

Hello there

Moved to Glasgow in September, found a job etc but now keen to get out there an meet people. Taking my own advice to people when they move to a new place, best way to met people is to join clubs.Live up the west end but not really into all the baking and craft clubs up here. Just looking for a bit of craic, like an informal Spanish class, running club, sit around drink wine and have a laugh club, anything a bit different from crafts and baking really. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Members of the forum ever get together? Also looking into to volunteering at the moment. Thanks in advance for your reply. Mhuireann

Hello and welcome to Glasgow! Sometimes folk from on here meet up to go a walk, usually related to something interesting in, or near, Glasgow (historical stuff, buildings, etc), keep a look out in this section ('What's on in Glasgow'). Also, if you put 'Meet Ups Glasgow' into Google it tends to come up with all sorts of groups. Lastly, some of Glasgow Libraries run book groups, I know Hillhead has a few.

Hope this helps,

Kate :)
