Sad :( , but fact of life. Our cat years ago had kittens (she was very young too), she decided the runt wasn't worth keeping and threw it out the box to die.

I was along at the squiggly bridge taking photos and saw a man with this dog, a beauty it was too, very friendly, I think he said it was some kind of Akita. The man was some character, but didn't want his photo taken..pity :(

Mice are great, we get them bought in regularly. Large spideys are another regular. Both don't tend to be fully intact

Ah right, it must be the angle or something, I used to keep mice and those look almost indistinguishable, R
rats we like though. I was toying with a ferret recently, it'd be an ideal lead buddy for my more than energetic pup. I'm also thinking of some chooks but I'd need to reduce the cat population (ferral cats not mine) before or I'd have to fork out a shit load for a full enclosure

I take it they are either very young or they are some dwarf species, perhaps the surrounding decor has thrown my judgement

Wonderful, Saltirepride. Here's a pic of one of our boys. Sorry about the quality. We had three too. All boys. Great pets. I can only find a pic of one of them. This is Basil, the other two were Dr Dawson and Fidget. We all loved them, even the cat. She would spend hours in front of their tank watching them. When we were moving house she was found in the top of the tank. We reckon she thought they were packed and didn't want to be left behind. They only cost a fiver each but lots more in vet's bills and worth every penny.

Image

Loads of memories of them but I won't ramble on.

Incidentally, do you know that rats can get pregnant about 5 or 6 weeks old? You might want to consider separating them unless you want to have more. It would be a shame to keep one on its own though. They are very sociable animals.

They were 1 year old when the pics were taken.

I think as you say the image makes them look small :).

Hey Tamandee.

This is our second lot of 3 girls.

The first rat i had was Lola and she went everywhere with me! used to sleep in my hoodie and sit on the dash on the long trips to Mull and Fort William.
Sadly Lola had passed away after an operation to remove a tumour.

The current 3 we have is Madgie(Champagne) Frodo(Choc brown) and Rollie(Black and White,Commonly know as fat rat he he) both Madgie and Frodo and rex's.

All the best.

Hi Wullie! Lola sounds like quite a character. Hope your girls live long and happy lives with you. If I come across any pics of the boys I'll post them here. They were characters too. Every morning they would be at the top of their tank waiting on their toast. They looked so cute sitting there munching on it. I would sometimes put a sheet of kitchen roll in the tank and watch them shredding it to make bedding. We had hours of fun with them. Happy memories.
