Folk (usually the same ones) complain vociferously when it's cold, when it's hot, and when an extended period of time has passed without it being either of those.

Welcome to Scotland.

After weeks of below average temps, which have meant my veggies are way behind, these nice days are a joy for the garden.

Parked the car yesterday at GRI, on one of the Castle Street, car parks, I came back to find the temp gauge registering 37 degree celcius!
The car was like an oven. :(

Yeah, if you can keep up with the watering.

I've taken to using the waste water from the bath and I've also got a rainwater butt, fed from the roof guttering, which is still more than half full.

Though ratherly strangely I've just been 4 miles up the road to New Stevenson and they've had nothing.

I don't know if there's any possible connection with the thunder and lightning earlier but tonight's moon was magnificent.

I still await a decent thunderstorm. Clearly I am in the wrong location. :(

We had a cracker of a thunder storm this morning in Galashiels. Not a huge amount , but one of them must have been the closest I have been to a strike. The thunder was as loud as I have ever heard and pretty awe inspiring with huge crack and rolling aftermath.

There was a huge amount of rain yesterday and this morning, leading to Jedburgh being flooded and local roads being closed.

flood

My parents are in the process of mopping up at the moment after getting flooded from that storm. They apparently had a wall of water rushing across the fields
