Invacars... always wondered what they were called. I used to see them quite a lot in years gone by...

Anyway, back to the ads...

1. One word: eSure.

2. Two More words: Scottish Citylink.

3. I think this was done by Vison Express, showing off their glasses with photochromatic lenses (ones that behave normally indoors but go dark when exposed to sunlight). It's set in the future, and shows a couple meeting up and walking off together in the usual happy fashion (*wretch*). I could go on about that for days, but my 2 biggest gripes with the advert are:

a) They seem to assume that in the future, medical technology won't have advanced to such a level that sight aids such as spectacles are completely redundant. Ordinary sunglasses might still be around, but I don't see the need for prescription ones.

b) They also seem to assume that in the future, humans will have evolved so that they lose their sense of individuality. They prefer to all dress in the exact same garment that is black indoors, but turns white when outdoors (or maybe it was the other way round, not that I care). What could be more naff? :?

That's all for now...

that one for Nissan Micra's, where a bloke in a van and some 20-something girl in a green Micra both try and get the same parking spot. So after a stare-off, they both get out their vehicles, and she challenges him to some arm-wrestling.

wtf?

3. I think this was done by Vison Express,

*The one I really hate right now is the one with the people all there fishing and are slagging off the one person without sunglasses.
- Smug B*stards I say! *

a) They seem to assume that in the future, medical technology won't have advanced to such a level that sight aids such as spectacles are completely redundant.

*They will be going for 'that retro' look no doubt.

b) They also seem to assume that in the future, humans will have evolved so that they lose their sense of individuality. They prefer to all dress in the exact same garment,

*That's Top shop and the like for you........*

What could be more naff? :?

*Yes, we could all be wearing silver suits and listening to music with pigeon sounds in, i.e. Buck Rogers, etc etc.*

The advert that I hate with real vegeance at the moment is one that I can not even hear the whole of without either turning over or switching off.

I talk, of course, about the Match of the day advert made up of all the different sounds of a football match.

Now THAT, is naff.

There's yet another pointlessly-redubbed American import doing the rounds. It's for Aero (didn't know it was available over there). This one's the most poorly-done yet. It makes the Scotland football team look professional.

The theme tune for Trisha drives me into mad hatred of the world, but that is irrelevant here.

The one (of many) currently sending me scrabbling about for the remote is the Coke one, with the wifey singing and handing oot cokes. It's enough to make you hate America, so it is!

Having been there plenty times, that advert is quite near the bottom of the "what makes me hate America" list. :>
