I just think of film '04 when I hear that tune.

Americans lap that schmaltzy crap up!
Way too sentimental sometimes the yanks. But hey, that's them!

Have you heard the U.S. national anthem at the Olympic games??

The middle bit just makes me want to puke
- we shouldn't feel THAT sympathetically for them, I mean, come on!

If these immortal words are good enough for Sir Jimmy Saville, they are good enough for HG mods.

The AA advert's beginning to become really really irritating.

Normal adverts are bad enough, but this one with the slamming doors, tapping, clicking and other sound effects is beginning to grate.

At least if you can't reach the remote you can usually look away. With this one you're still stuffed if your hands are full... can't turn your ears off

How about some nominations for similar adverts that are still able to drive you up the wall even when you can't see them (and can't kill the sound)?

The Match of the day sound effect advert is very similar and I totally hate it.

It is not even because I am not a football person, I just hate it.

That one's doubly irritating because it starts immediately with that stupid yell soyou don't even get the opportunity to kill it before it gets to you

Mitsubishi's car adverts have been keech straight from a dog's bum recently. First, there's that one with the Colt driving around on the sea bed. WTF? 8O All I can say is that it was a good thing that woman driving it didn't feel like opening a window... The crap music didn't help things.

Even worse than that, however (IMO), is the one with the Grandis. If you haven't seen it, it goes like this:

Someone pulls up outside a fancy club/restaurant in what looks suspiciously like an AC Cobra (or it could have been a Cobra derivative known as the Superblower; either way a very cool car). A valet walks over to park it, when he is stops in his tracks and is mesmerised by the sight of a Grandis which has just pulled up behind the Cobra.

So, are Mitsubishi basically trying to say that this:

is more desirable than this?

F*ck off.

The damned incessant Coco Pops adverts

"I'd rather have a bowl of Coco Pops" sang the castrato.

Tune's rolling round my head non-stop now that I've thought of it

Actually, I never wanted a bowl of something that looked like the cat's diarrhoea or lumpy shite.

"So chocolatey even the milk turns brown" Yeh, like that helps :?:

I used to imagine it would smell like shite too Image

The ones that really did my nut in ages ago were the Direct line?? adverts' with the red driving phone that would always play that bloody irritating tune.

Along with that there is the PC world ones where when ever a 'Pentium super duper thingemybob processer' is mentioned, they HAVE to have the tune.
I hate that, can they not say it without the sudden interuption of the advertising gingle??

Also there is the Tesco adverts with Prunella Scalles or whoever she may be.

The adverts I really liked at first were the Bounty Kitchen roll adverts with the big hairy arsed guys' dressed up as woman, but the joke is wearing a bit thin now.
