I got chased down Hope Street last night by a homicidal tractor driver. Then I turned round a corner and there was another one coming towards me.

Turned out they were just gritting the pavements but I was worried for, oh, a few seconds.

seems from what i heard off my old man was there was a shortedg of gritter drivers ( european working time derective)plus a shortage of trucks fitted with whale units seems the council transport managers are struggling to out rig motors with the gritting units cos the day shift need them for doing normal road repairs tho the council did recall a large amount of small ldv tipper vans for salting by hand.......rather large amount of de fleeted motors appearing at depots to get loaded with salt :roll:
