I've posted this on a couple of other forums so I'm sorry if you've seen it before.....

A wee poem / song.....

MacPherson had a bonny wee dug and it was very sma'
It lifted up it's bonny wee leg an peed aginst the wa'
When it saw the steam arise, it thought it was a fire.
So it lifted up it's other wee leg an it peed a wee bit higher.
When it saw that wis nae use, it turned right roun a' boot,
It lifted up it's bonny wee tail and blew the damn thing oot.

Anyone else know this?
It was an old favourite in my family.

I'd like to know the origin.

I've taken the liberty of asking about this over on Footstompin', the Scottish and Celtic Music Discussion Group. I'll keep you posted.
