I would be rather upset if any inquiry resulted in the removal of STV (the voting system, anyway).

Had Labour won I suspect no such inquiry would be demanded, much less take place. I found the Daily Record's hysterical response to the scenario very funny!

I also think a huge example vote poster should have been on show with the X fro Parliament and 1-5 for council.

There was one in my polling station.

If folk are too thick to fill in a ballot paper then they don't deserve a vote !!!

And to think of the sacrifices made to secure universal suffrage Rubbed out in an instant by some webmong who overuses exclamation marks...

To be fair your use of the full stop is quite extravagant too.

I believe the correct term is Aposiopesis.

Aposiopesis (from Classical Greek, ἀποσιώπησις, "becoming silent") is a rhetorical device whereby the speaker or writer deliberately stops short and leaves something unexpressed, but yet obvious, to be supplied by the imagination, giving the impression that he is unwilling or unable to continue. It often portrays being overcome with passion (fear, anger, excitement) or modesty. The ellipsis or dash is used.

I watched the First Ministers questions today with our new democratically elected MPs. I was absolutely shocked that Tony Blair has so far ignored Alex Salmond. This is either extremly very petty or down right rude.
I await an answer from Labour HQ as to why they have taken this course of action but I wont hold my breath.

The bill for last year's Scottish elections is more than double the previous one, with the cost reaching almost £40m.
SNP MSP Keith Brown said that in total the 2007 Holyrood and local government elections had cost £39.26m.
Mr Brown said almost £9m of the money spent on the 2007 polls had gone to DRS, the company which provided the electronic counting machines.
He said the cost of elections in 2003 had been £17.15m.
