Bizarrely discovered that on Freeview BBC Parliament (Find News 24 then go up 1 channel) were showing the election count programme from 1997. The joy, the future laid out before us, the youthful smiles, the new ideas, . the optimism, the "Things can only get better".....but most of all the hope.... as someone famous once said, it's the hope that gets you hardest in the end.
