And my specialist subject on Mastermind? Hmm... I dunno. The Goon Show maybe?
Another sunrise with my sad captains, with who I choose to lose my mind,
And if it's all we only pass this way but once, what a perfect waste of time.

I think I should've been born in the 50s.

Always loved The Goons, and Tony Hancock, and also for some odd reason Dan Dare.

Hancock is Peerless, also liked Men From The Ministry, hitchhikers guide to the galaxy and Jimmy Clitheroe particularly on audio, it just takes you to another plane!

Do you know who is the longest performing artist in The Westend,,he hails from those Radio Show days of old and he’s still going strong (well he was before the lockdown, but he will be back!

Spleen - it’s Derek Guyler, Potter from Please Sir, he is the radio announcer in “The Mouse Trap” who announces 3 or 4 times in the play that a convict escapee has been spotted in various places, I think it has been his voice for 50+ years
I wonder who is getting his Royalties and how much he is still making in a year

Banjo, emotional is good, shows your love, my Faither was a rascal, scoundrel, gambler, alcoholic, philanderer and an all round rebel rouser, but crikey he stood tall for people, been gone 18 yrs but I miss him every day so on ye go son, I would imagine someone in the Guyler family is getting some Royalties unless he sold them off.......Oh Yeshh! A very nice man, I remember he was the voice of the Skeleton for the Scotch Video Tapes advert/s

Have a good day Banjo!

I daresay there'll be some sort of deal in place where his family gets a wee something for the use of the recording.

Even if it's just a fiver per performance say.

Oh, ok.

Over the years, I have met -

Duncan Goodhew (Olympic gold medalist).

About s dozen or so actors from Star Trek.
Ditto for Doctor Who.

Jeff Lindsay (author of the "Dexter" novels).
Lindsey Davis (author of the "Falco" mystery novels).
Stan Lee.
Ben Aaronovitch (author of the "Rivers of London" urban fantasy novels).
Gerry Anderson (yer "Thunderbirds" fella).
Sylvia Anderson (his ex-wife and the voice of Lady Penelope).
Michael Sheard (actor best known for playing Mr. Bronson in "Grange Hill").
Kevin McAnally (actor)

Plus various people from the UK and US comics industry you've probably never heard of.

Saw Patrick Moore passing through Victoria Station in London (40 years ago), also Ian Hislop last year at my local station and Tom Winsor at London Bridge when he was Rail Regulator. The fun of living in the yuppie south
