Don't normally wear that style of shoes but I have a function to go to soon.
Nothing would have matched the outfit I bought earlier in the month so it was now or never.

jodie,

I'm not very good at taking pictures.
The shoes cost me more than I would normally spend but they are a good match for my outfit.
You should get an idea if you look at the web page and mine are antique gold colour.
I got mine a bit cheaper than the price on this site though not by much.

They look lovely Dot. If they're comfy & they make you smile, they're worth the money :-)

Anyone got advice on hair straighteners?

I have never used them in my life and my hair is short and thick but hairdresser thinks maybe I should give
them a shot. I suppose if it cuts down on the 'Worzel Gummidge' look when I get out of bed in the morning
it might be worth a shout.

Have ordered a ceramic set on the internet reduced from £99.00 to £15.00 so at least if they are not a total
success will not feel I have wasted a fortune.

Mine's getting a bit curly, I have to confess, but I'd spend a fiver getting it shaved off before I spent 99 quid (!) straightening it.

I think ceramics are the best (at least for me - with thick short hair) and preferrable to heat up to 250 degree's. Remember to keep the hot bits away from your ears, forehead and fingers! ::):

Thanks for the replies guys. ::):

I printed off the voucher for the straighteners but hadn't really looked at it properly till today.
I should have guessed there would be a catch and in a section marked fine print it says that the £7.50
delivery charge is not included.

I suppose I should have guessed that expecting it to be £15.00 in total was unlikely.
Just spotted a set on Boots website (own brand I think) for £12.25 and £2.95 for delivery and some good
deals on Amazon.

I like the way he pronounces chiropodist -"..wee Boabie the shireopodist" - the Hobbit version - very apt for my feet

Bridie,

I can't imagine your feet are that bad.

I take anything from a size 7 up to a size 8 depending on the make of shoes/boots.
Just looking at the shoes I have on at the moment and they are continental size 40.

My eldest son reckons I should be either taller in height or have smaller feet for my build.
I am 5 ft 7 and the only problem I have is that the wee toes on my feet have always been hard to cut.
Think it is because the nails on them are so tiny.

My feet are a weird shape - almost square and I have no arch. It's just as well that I was never a shoe person. ::):
I think I should visit a chiropodist, as you say, it's very therapeutic and I might start to love my feet.
