I have had a few bargains today in the sales which has worked out well as due back at work tomorrow.
Three tops in one shop (the dearest had been £39.00) and I got the whole lot for £24.50.

In another boutique where I got a long sleeve top reduced to £19.50 from £65.00.
Happy Days as they say over here.

I bought a jacket for the cooler weather which is fur lined with what appeared to be leather.
Haven't worn it yet but got it for a good price in sales.

Was a little surprised when I read the care label.
I knew it was going to be a dry clean item but it says rabbit fur.

Now I feel a bit guilty and have an image from 'Watership Down' in my head.

This is exactly the sort of thing Sharon would do if she had a private jet.

Fur lined with leather, btw?

Are you sure you aren't wearing it inside out, Dot?

I see I've caused some confusion. The fur is on the inside and leather on outside of jacket.
Never been very good with words so no danger of me becoming a Lynda La Plante or J.K. Rowling.

In other news I see that Richard Adams who wrote 'Watership Down' is fighting a proposal to build homes on land
which inspired both the book and film.

I see that a D&G jacket sold at Great Western Auctions for £90.00.

Has anyone on here ever bought a designer piece of clothing which was well reduced in a sale?

Anybody know what to do with some old fur coats belonging to a relation who died last year?
They are in clear zip up bags at present and I would consider offering them to a charity shop.
I believe many shops will not accept them because of the changing attitudes in society.

I'm led to believe there are fur coats languishing in pawnbrokers around the country. It might be worth checking out if you can raise a few bob. The charity shops will take the dosh.
I hear the people sing.

Stick them on e bay.
"I before E, except after C" works in most cases but there are exceptions.

I'd say ebay, some people still collect things like this.
