Just finished "perfume" by Patrick Suskind...and am in need of something new. It was very dark, and very smelly! Brilliant, original book! Totally recommend it...even if the ending was a little on the bonkers side... 8O

Has Ballard written anything decent recently?

Just finished reading a few Magnus Mills books, I heartily recommend 'The restraint of beasts', 'The Scheme for Full Employment' and 'All quiet on the Orient Express'.

Halfway through 'The Perfect Fool' by stand-up comedian Stewart Lee (The other guy in 'This morning with Richard not Judy') and it's pretty good so far.

And I've got a second hand copy of Hatter's Castle waiting to be read.

Getting the chance to read almost makes public transport bearable, that and being able to travel to work whilst still drunk/hungover for the night before! :D

Namedropper - Emma Forrest

keep starting it and then buying another book and finishing that and going back to it- You know what I mean.

Have any of you ever been into the St Vincent De Paul charity shop in Saltmarket?? Brilliant selection of books, loads of new titles!!
