Lost

Postby Apollo » Wed Aug 10, 2005 7:48 pm

Well, Lost got a good build up in our earlier thread, but it's getting off to a bad start with jet engine running happily in the midst of a plane wreck, then it blows up after finally managing to suck someone in, yet everyone nearby isn't blasted by shrapnel and turbine blades.

Nothing to beat a good bit of poetic licence to get the drama off to a flying start.

Thank goodness they've got a pregnant girl, so we know what we've got to look forward too.

(I'm having a laugh, it's only the start, and I really am off to watch it quietly now :D ).

And check out the producer's name :!:

Had to catch the credits on E4 bonus episode to check what had flashed by on the first, co-producer:

Reul Glesgow

Now where did that spelling come from?

Figures...

ABC's own site doesn't give any detail of the production staff, so I tried the unoffcial fan site for a listing.

Guess they're not devoted enough to bother getting the names right (unless the rolling credits are wrong, and they're right  )

A few details of what Mr Glasgow has done, includes his email if you're really that curious!

Love the programme, can't wait for next week!

Hmm... I must be out of touch, haven't come across any of his work.

But... I'll echo another commentator and put that down to the ratings and TV's worship of reality TV and other drivel that leads to shows that need no more than 3 minutes of attention.

The way the TV companies are breaking up the schedules and throwing series on at odd hours, and now breaking long programmes up by inserting others part way through them is making difficult to enjoy them now.

I felt as if I was reaching for the remote to kill the ads every 5 minutes during the various parts of Lost's first showing between Channel 4 and E4 last night, and it was irritating.

Quite enjoyed it and to be honest I didn't expect that I would. Some cheesy moments though...the end of the e4 episode was like a Gap commercial

Still, I'm now wondering if the island (if it's an island...) is a leftover from French nuclear testing, or were the nuclear tests a cover for something else...

I watched the first 2 episodes over at my friend's house and was so freaked out by the end of it, I had to run all the way home ::):

Don't overanalyse it guys - just sit back and let your mind wander for the 45 minutes it's on!

I've seen the whole series. It's my favourite TV show. It's better than Oz. You're all in for an amazing ride. :D

I'm gonna make my new woman watch them all this weekend if we get a chance. 3 day weekend = mucho time for lost. :P

Nobody's done it yet, and I doubt anyone's going to, but... accidents happen 8O

Can posters review any comments just in case they contain Spoilers, and put a Spoiler Warning near the start of the post if they think there might be?
